The Native Prairies Association of Texas (NPAT) and its Houston Chapter (HNPAT) welcome visitors to Deer Park Prairie!
At this time visitation is by appointment only or during the scheduled tours or workdays. All visitors must have a printed and signed release waiver in hand: field trip waiver or volunteer waiver. Please email [email protected] to schedule a visit.
WHO: Deer Park Prairie (DPP)
What: Removing invasives, planting prairie plants
WHERE: 1222 East Purdue Lane Deer Park TX 77536 (This is the address for the house on the prairie. Please do not park along the curb directly in front of our neighbors’ houses.)
WHEN: 2nd Wednesday of each month; 9:00 AM – 12:00 Noon
WHY: It’s what TMNs do!
OTHER: There are possible uneven terrain, biting insects, plants with thorns, etc., on the prairie. It’s advisable to wear and have the following available: outdoor clothing (closed-toe shoes and long pants), long-sleeve shirt (recommended), hat, water, and insect repellent.
COST: $0.00
TMN COVID Guidance: “For any indoor or outdoor activities that do occur in-person, masks and social distancing considerations are encouraged.”
Scheduled workdays for DPP are the 2nd Wednesdays and 4th Saturdays of each month, from 9 a.m. to 12:00 Noon. If you plan to participate and/or change plans at the last minute, please RSVP to [email protected], or call Glenn at 936-827-7978.
