AT: Gulf Center for Turtle Research Guided Beach Patrol Training – Turtle Trails 2024

In person at Babe’s Beach, 6477 Seawall Blvd in Galveston, TX. 2024 Turtle Trails patrol training series.
During this program you’ll have the opportunity to embark on a 1-mile patrol walk, learn about our local sea turtle species, their nesting habits, how to identify tracks, the process of excavating eggs from a nest, why it’s done, human impacts on sea turtles, and how the GCSTR conservation programs are protecting these threatened and endangered species. The program takes place every other Monday at 9 am during nesting season from April to July. Meet at Babe’s Beach 6477 Seawall Blvd in Galveston, TX. Currently ages 12 and up are welcome.
Registration is required and a liability waiver must be filled out. Please sign up for one date preferred as spaces are limited to 20-25 per date. Guided patrol training dates for 2024 are: April 8th, April 22nd, May 6th, May 20th, June 3rd, June 17th, July 1st, and July 15th
