From NationalMothWeek.org: “National Moth Week celebrates the beauty, life cycles, and habitats of moths. “Moth-ers” of all ages and abilities are encouraged to learn about, observe, and document moths in their backyards, parks, and neighborhoods.”
Moth and insect enthusiasts Katy Emde, John Schneider, and Mary Spolyar will set up black (UV) lights and white screens to attract moths and other night insects. Once it gets dark, we will see what shows up! We’ll be ID’ing, photographing and talking moths and other night insects.
Drinking water will be provided. Participants need to sign a liability release form.
