VSP: Nature Merit Badge – Scouts BSA at J. B. Harrison Foundation – Long Point Ranch

Hannah Muegge is seeking a few well-informed volunteers for the annual Spring Nature Merit Badge Workshop on Thursday, March 14, 2024. This is an all-day event. Gates will open at 8:00am, with Scouts starting to arrive at 8:30am. Volunteers should arrive no later than 8:45am. This event qualifies as VSP! The event will be at Long Point Ranch 8200 Whaley-Long Point Road, Richmond TX

Throughout the day, Scouts will rotate through stations and engage in various nature topics and activities. Volunteers will be provided with supplied worksheet and text that each Scout will receive, detailing the requirements for each topic. Should anyone have questions, they can reach out to Mr. Rick Adams (lead Merit Badge Counselor) or Hannah Muegge (JBH / co-counselor).

If you can’t stay the entire time -Nature Discussion Volunteers arrive at 8:30am-8:45am and could be released at 11am. Station Volunteers arrive by 10:30am at the latest, and could be released at 3:00pm.

Stations (Volunteers may only sign-up for one of the following 4 stations as they will take place con-currently).

Group-Led Discussions (discussions to take place before/after con-current station, open to anyone to volunteer).
