Per Jerry Trenta: “With the COVID cases continuing to rise, especially in breakthrough cases, I’m cancelling the volunteer days at Seabourne and implementing an ‘essential tasks only’ plan as recommended by the COVID RED status in Ft. Bend County. These tasks would include bird feeding, new tree watering, irrigation of newly planted areas, trail maintenance and invasive control. These tasks can be done individually or with couples, and do not have to be done during regular volunteer days. This suspension will remain until we are back to YELLOW status.”

Fort Bend County COVID-19 Precautions: Currently at a COVID-19 Red Status, “High Community Risk”. The advisement follows:

  1. “Stay Home, Stay Safe”;
  2. “Minimize contact with others, whenever possible, and avoid leaving home, except for essential needs.”; and
  3. “Avoid all gatherings of any size.”

Additionally, Fort Bend County Judge K. P. George issued a mask order for schools and county facilities.

TMN COVID-19 Precautions: ” For outdoor activities, both volunteers and public participants are strongly encouraged to wear masks and social distance by at least 6 feet.”

Although the scheduled SCNP Volunteer Days, as are other group activities, are on pause, assistance is still needed within SCNP.
