VSP: TPWD – Volunteers Needed for Maintenance on Fishing Gear

The Texas Parks and Wildlife Department (TPWD) has requested help from the Texas Master Naturalists Coastal Prairie Chapter (TMN CPC)!
“Hello Volunteers,
Again the time has come to go fishing, so we will need gear ready for this year, this is a chance to get out and meet new volunteers through gear maintenance and providing support to our Angler Education Region. There is an opportunity to record your hours in the Samaritan System.

We only have 10 spots in the system, so first to sign up first to come. (due to Covid-19) we are limited in space… and current COVID protocols as outlined by CDC, the State of Texas, and the venue will be in place.
Let’s meet at 7777 S. Dairy Ashford at the Office Warehouse of the State Coordinators Greg Akins site. Saturday, February 19, 2022, next door to Hackberry Community Center
We will began working on the gear at 10:00 am until 2:00 pm
We will have water and refreshments on site, coffee, fruit…

TMN COVID-19 Precautions: “For any indoor or outdoor activities that do occur in-person, masks and social distancing considerations are encouraged.”
Fort Bend County COVID-19 Orange Precautions: “Avoid and cancel medium (10-250 people) and large public private gatherings (250+). Minimize contact with others, but begin leaving the home for non-essential needs, except medium and large gatherings. Practice social distancing and use face coverings.”
