VSP: World Sea Turtle Day – Galveston Island

World Sea Turtle Day is on June 16th and to celebrate sea turtles Turtle Island Restoration Network is leading an island wide beach cleanup! Check in will be at Menard Park and cleaning sites are all around Galveston Island. Specific cleaning sites will be designated based on your registration. Please register prior to event with the below link.

Check in will be 8:30-9:00 am, cleaning will be 9:00-10:00 am, and returning materials will be 10:00-10:30 am.

Please bring your reusable water bottle, a reusable bucket to collect trash with, and garden gloves. Please try and avoid single-use plastic/latex gloves and single-use plastic trash bags, this avoids adding additional plastics to the landfill.
