VSP WOW Presentation at Long Acres Ranch

During the school year, Long Acres Ranch (LAR) offers science classes to home schoolers and private schools. They have asked us to present several of our WOWs during related science sessions. We will be one of 5 stations that the students will rotate through.
Bats – October 8, 9, & 10 for Zoology
Soil – December 17, 18, & 19 for Petrology & Pedology
Pond Life – March 18, 19, & 20 for Bioecology
Native Plants & Prairies – April 15, 16, & 17 for Herbology
Butterfly #2 – May 6, 7, & 8 for Lepidopterology
Once you sign up on the Sign Up Genius on VSP and Outreach channels, I will send you the links to start the LAR onboarding process which includes filling out an application, getting a Criminal Background check, signing a waiver and watching a one-hour child abuse prevention video. Once you have completed those tasks, you will be able to volunteer in any capacity at the facility. You will be volunteering to cover 3 time slots – 9:30am, 10:30am and 11:30am.
You’ll need to arrive by 8:45am.
