“Perfection is Over Rated: Nature Does Not Require Us to Get Everything Right, She Just Needs Us to Try” with Cee Cee Parker

Join us on Thursday, May 1st at 7:00PM for an inspiring talk by Cee Cee Parker as she shares the journey of Hidden Territory Farm, a thriving wildlife sanctuary near Sugar Land. Learn how a vision, patience, and a deep respect for nature transformed a piece of land into a flourishing ecosystem.
One need not to be a professional horticulturalist, agronomist, or wildlife biologist to make a difference. Cee Cee will share the lessons learned—through trial and error, expert guidance, and even a bit of luck—on how anyone can support and restore their local environment. Sometimes, the best thing we can do is step back and let nature take the lead.
About Our speaker:
Cee Cee Parker, a native Houstonian, has lived in the Sugar Land area since 1993. She earned a degree in Agricultural Economics from Texas A&M (1983) and a Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Houston (2004). Passionate about greenspace and wildlife conservation, Cee Cee has served on the Cullen Park Conservancy Board, Fort Bend Green since 2020, and the Wildlife Habitat Foundation Board of Trustees since 2023. A lifelong nature enthusiast, she and her husband David own Hidden Territory Farm, a 31-acre wildlife sanctuary near Sugar Land, where they focus on habitat restoration.
She first joined the Texas Master Naturalist (TMN) program in 2011 but, due to other commitments, couldn’t complete the required hours. Now part of the Fall 2024 TMN class, she is committed to seeing it through!
