Fall Socially Distant Bioblitz

August 18, 2022 by gbacon

What is a Bioblitz?

An event that focuses on finding and identifying as many species as possible in a specific area over a short period of time.

All you need is a camera and the great outdoors to get started!

Join the fun on iNaturalist for the
‘Fall Socially Distant Bioblitz – DFW Urban Ecosystem 2022’ event!

Invite your friends!

September 4 – 10, 2022

From September 4th through the 10th, if an iNaturalist observation is made within DFW related counties, it is automatically added to the iNaturalist project: https://www.inaturalist.org/projects/fall-socially-distant-bioblitz-dfw-urban-ecosystem-2022

Backyard observations are countable for these projects, but the most valuable observations are made in public places
 — parks in particular.  These observations are used to guide management!  So, if you can emphasize the importance of these observations, that would be great. Any observations made in Denton, Cooke, or Wise counties will appear here: https://www.inaturalist.org/projects/efmn-counties-fall-socially-distant-bioblitz-2022
