Community Connections – Partnering to Pick Up Trash

November 22, 2025 by Lori Buffum

Our Gideon Lincecum chapter was recognized for “Excellence in Environmental or Conservation Stewardship” for our recent river cleanup events as well as for our expanded Adopt a Highway trash pick up territory in Columbus. The award from the Brazos Valley Council of Governments was presented to President Sheri Wilcox, surrounded by some of the members of the “cleanup” teams. We are proud to be making connections with a variety of organizations as we enhance our ability to carry out the Texas Master Naturalist conservation mission. Watch our Events Calendar for future opportunities to get involved with a river cleanup or trash pickup event with fellow chapter members and community partners.
