During a BioBlitz, Everyone Can Be a Citizen Scientist

September 27, 2024 by Lori Buffum

What’s a BioBlitz? An opportunity to add your data to global conservation efforts in a particular category of animal/plant life. The Texas Pollinator BioBlitz runs from October 11 through 27 and everyone across the state is encouraged to participate. For Texas Master Naturalists, it’s a chance to earn volunteer service hours. Pollinator BioBlitz participants (all ages and abilities, solo or in teams) find, observe, and identify pollinators and nectar-producing plants, take photos, and then share the data on iNaturalist. Learn all the details here: Texas Parks & Wildlife.
