Washington on the Brazos Pollinator Garden Workday

Volunteer Opportunity: VMS Category: Washington on the Brazos State Park Anyone interested in helping to weed and tidy the WoB Pollinator Garden is welcome to join us. We’ll be working from 9 – 11 a.m. Please bring gloves and hand tools for pulling weeds. Garbage bags will be provided. Please let Julie Itz or David Itz know if you will be available to assist.

VMS opportunity: Winedale Landscape Project Once again, I want to remind everyone that the monthly Winedale work days are:  Second Saturdays, and Fourth Fridays. Please remember to bring gloves, hats, bug spray, suntan lotion for protection. TOOLS: spades, sharpshooters, hand trowels; hand pruners, loppers, tree saws, a chainsaw or two if possible….with fuel and bar chain oil, a sharp chain, and chain tool; rock rakes and leaf rakes. I’ll bring the leaf bags, and cool drinking water…maybe even a big watermelon as it seems to be getting a lot warmer…. Read More →
