– VMS opportunity-  South Texas Buckskin Brigades TPWD Blaise Korzekwa

The information below was sent to chapter presidents requesting volunteers.

South Texas Buckskin Brigades is in need of two adult leaders for our camp next month, June 13-17. Each “herd leader” will be responsible for a group of 5-6 youth, providing guidance and supervision during camp. This is a unique and rewarding experience volunteering with youth for conservation! I honestly would count some of the hours as AT because volunteers will learn so much about deer, although I know that is up to your AT committees.

 

I am emailing the chapter presidents to ask if you can recommend anyone who might be able to help. While this position is very rewarding, it is also very physically challenging. Volunteers will be outside in the heat most of the day and will get very little sleep at night in shared sleeping spaces. It’s not something that is a good fit for everyone, so I wanted to ask your help in identifying whether there is someone in your chapter who might be able to help.
