Amber Leung from Wild Arts of Texas, is presenting Field Notes & Wildflowers: Nature Journaling to Connect with your Habitat. Nature journaling is a simple but powerful way to deepen observation, strengthen plant identification skills, and build a more meaningful connection with the natural world. Amber Leung will introduce nature journaling as a practical tool for recording native plants, seasonal change, habitat observations, and ecological questions through sketches, notes, and close observation—NO artistic skill required.

See how journaling can complement photography, improve memory and scientific thinking, and help create a personal record of the landscapes and species that make our region unique.

Amber Leung is a naturalist, environmental educator, and artist, as well as the founder of Wild Arts of Texas. Through workshops, presentations, and guided walks, she helps people build stronger observation skills and deeper connections with the natural world. Since 2018, her environmental education and public programming have reached thousands of participants across the Houston region through parks, nature centers, schools, and community organizations.
