AT Opportunity: Virtual – From Wonder to Action
Birds surprise us and delight us; they inspire us to learn, to explore, and to connect with others. They captivate us with their movement, fascinate us with their behavior, and enchant us with their songs. But many of the birds we all love are disappearing — fast. We must act boldly and swiftly to ensure that the habitats birds need are healthy and sustaining, so that they continue to inspire wonder in us for generations to come. Do you feel the same sense of urgency — and hope?
Join us on November 19 at 3PM CST to learn how to move From Wonder to Action for birds across the Americas. We will explore the marvels of birds — and learn what bold steps we can take together to conserve them.
In this webinar, Garrett Rhyne, our Southeast Motus Station Coordinator, will talk about the wonder of migration and how we are using technology to track bird movement. Kaitlyn Parkins, ABC’s Glass Collisions Program Coordinator, will share the marvels of backyard birds and the steps she’s taken to make her home a safe place for birds. Finally, Lindsay Adrean, Northwest Program Officer, will focus on the Marbled Murrelet, its wondrous forest habitat, and enjoying the outdoors in ways that also help birds.
We hope you’ll join us to celebrate birds and the ways they inspire us to take action!
