5th Grade Outdoor Classrooms (8:15 am – 2:30 pm) at Nails Creek State Park, Lake Somerville.
Tuesday, March 3
Thursday, March 5
If spending the day teaching science to kids at the lake sounds like fun – this may be the day for you! Students rotate through life science stations at Nails Creek State Park on Lake Somerville. Stations are 50-minutes and allow students to conduct the field investigations they need in order to master scientific concepts. There is a pre-event training session for the 5th grade program. All volunteers are encouraged to attend the training session on February 27th (AT hours!). Please see separate event for details..
New volunteers are encouraged to join us and will be paired with experienced folk to learn the ropes. (All volunteers working with children must have completed the Background Check provided through the TMN VMS system.)
If you are able to volunteer, please contact TMN-GLC project leader Lori Buffum.
