VMS opportunity: Education – informal
All,
Here are the members signed up to work the Honey Bee Jubilee and the shift schedules for this coming Saturday. Thank you all for volunteering!
I will be on site about 8:00 or so with Jon for setup. Due to a change in my personal schedule, I will be leaving the Jubilee shortly after doing a presentation on Bluebonnets that starts at 9:00 am. Jon Watkins will be our on site lead for the day.
We will have seed packets to distribute, Sheri Wilcox’s display board on invasives and pollinators, and books on various topics. We will also have stickers for the kids and the Monarch Life Cycle figures for the kids to sort. I encourage each of you to bring something of interest to display and visit with folks about. Please be alert so our displays aren’t mistaken for free handouts.
As with the Burton Cotton Gin Festival, this opportunity is about education and discussion on our natural environment. Recruiting is also important but engaging the public about our passion for the outdoors is critical. Should anyone want to learn more about the TMN program and be placed on my email list, please be sure that their name and email address is legible.
Since we will be in Education mode, please record your time under “Education Informal”. Let me know if you have any questions.
