L.A.N.D.S. Deer Field Investigation Day

Volunteer Opportunity: VMS Category: BISD Outdoor Learning Projects
The L.A.N.D.S. Deer Field Day has been scheduled for December 3, 2019 at the Long Star Ranch in Burton.
Hours approximately 8 am to 2:30 pm and we need 14-16 adult volunteers.
This is a day focused on deer biology, behavior, habitat and more. The students are 8th graders who are taking advanced science. There are opportunities for volunteers to help in a variety of ways since there are 6 stations in the rotation.
Each station has leaders and several assistants. Other volunteers are needed to help move students around the stations, provide additional station help, act as timing monitors, and more.
If you know a little something about deer or would like to learn a whole lot more, this is the project for you. Newcomers will be paired with experienced volunteers so don’t hesitate to join us!
You will be contacted to complete the required paperwork and receive more details about your assigned station and duties.
