NPAT Fayette Prairie Chapter – Native Seed Propagation Workshop

Deepen your knowledge of plant propagation, whether cultivating a pollinator garden, creating a pocket prairie or restoring a native prairie. Learn from an expert and build valuable skills that support your work protecting and conserving native plants for native wildlife.
WORKSHOP HIGHLIGHTS
We will be discussing native wildflowers, grasses, and woody plants, including:
- Maximilian sunflower
- Bluebonnets
- Indian grass
- Little bluestem
- Mexican plum
Additionally, we will have hands-on demonstrations with seeds, grasses, and forbs.
Topics will include:
- Breaking seed dormancy
- Seed processing
- Practicing techniques for vegetative propagation with both native and non-native plants, including Dracaena and Mexican plum
