San Felipe de Austin State Historic Site: Birds, Bees, and Trees

Join the Texas Master Naturalist – Gideon Lincecum Chapter at San Felipe de Austin State Park for an educational program focused on birds, bees and trees! Centered on the map plaza, chapter members will have displays and activities for the whole family.

  • Lights Out Texas: Understand the importance of providing safe passage for the millions of birds migrating South
  • Bird Identification: Learn how to identify birds in our local community
  • Bird Masks: Get crafty and make a bird mask with us!
  • Bird Feeders: Build a bird feeder to take home with you!
  • Bees and Other Pollinators: Explore how bees and other pollinators are essential to our local ecosystem
  • Trees: Take a nature walk focused on trees found at this historic site

Activities will run from 10:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m. Contact Sheri Wilcox to volunteer.
