Volunteer opportunity: VMS Category: Stephen F. Austin State Park
Howdy all!
Stephen F. Austin State Park has received their allocation of (60) native trees as part of the Apache tree grant and park reforestation project. At the moment there are 30 trees ready to go in the dirt.
Meet at the park headquarters building just inside the gate at 9:00AM we can work until 12:00 noon (or longer if you want).
This will be the second big project our chapter will be involved in at SFA SP since we re-established the volunteer relationship. We are hoping for a good turnout. It will be a great opportunity to meet some of the park staff, create a lasting impact and to get a bit more familiar with the park…..in anticipation of the reopening.
The trees are 3 to 5 gallon pots. Please bring water bottles and gloves. Sharpshooter shovel if you have one but the park has some to loan as well.
