VMS opportunity: Stephen F. Austin State Park
Volunteer hands and minds are invited to volunteer at Stephen F. Austin State Park on Thursday, May 30 at 8:30AM. If you are interested in working and learning please feel free to come out. Thursday’s plan is to continue to replace the temporary native ground cover with more permanent woody perennials. We will also hope to be adding to the existing temporary irrigation system and begin planning for phase 2 of the project which will include a rainwater collection system and interpretive signage.
This a great opportunity for newer members to get involved in a project that is early in its development and a chance to get acquainted with Stephen F. Austin State park in general. The Gideon Lincecum Chapter hopes to continue in growing their presence here through future projects such as this.
