VMS opportunity: Stephen F. Austin State Park
The our chapter is a recipient of a Monarch Watch grant that was applied for last year. They are to be placed in GLC project areas. We have a few flats of native milkweed sprigs ready to go in the ground (thank you chapter member Jerry Gips!). I have confirmed with SFA SP management a work day of Thursday, April 30 to do the planting. Of course we must follow current TPWD COVID guidelines in distancing, group size and masks must be worn while on park property.
We will meet at the project site at HQ at 8:30AM. After some general weeding and clean-up we will plug the seedlings down. Bring regular gardening tools, water, sunscreen and sanitizer if you wish.
Happy Trails!
