TMN GLC May Chapter Meeting and Trainee Graduation – NOTE CHANGE OF LOCATION

VMS opportunity: AT: TMN chapter program (for advanced training segment) and Administrative work: chapter meeting (for the business meeting and graduation segments)
TMN GLC chapter meetings are held the third Saturday of odd-numbered months at rotating locations in the five-county chapter area.
The May chapter meeting will be held May 18, 2024 at the Fayette County Agrilife Extension office beginning at 9:30 a.m.
The Gideon Lincecum Chapter meeting for May will include an educational presentation (Advanced Training for Texas Master Naturalists) – Lone Star Healthy Streams presented by Leanne Wiley. Leanne will review the mission and goals of the Lone Star Healthy Streams program and elaborate on bacteria issues across the state and in the specific watersheds within our chapter’s areas. She will also discuss a few of the grazing livestock best management practices that reduce bacteria contamination in our waterways.
There will be additional short presentations by trainees from the 2024 class. A short business meeting will follow then we will celebrate the Graduation of the Initial Training Class of 2024. The public is always welcome and trainees are encouraged to bring a guest to join in the celebration.
