GLC community,
We’re excited to provide outreach at the Father of Texas Celebration taking place Saturday, November 7, from 9:00 AM–4:00 PM, at San Felipe de Austin State Historic Site. Free admission and fun for the whole family! More details here: https://thc.texas.gov/events/father-texas-free-admission
Are you up for getting out in this fall weather at San Felipe de Austin and sharing your TMN story with visitors to the Father of Texas Celebration? This is also a great opportunity to support this historic site.
We are looking for volunteers to help staff our display and visit with folks about nature and what it means to be Master Naturalist. Below is a list of shift times for your consideration. You are certainly welcome to volunteer for the whole day also.
A few volunteers have already signed on, and we’d appreciate/love your help (yappers welcome!). Please consider joining and sharing stories about the nature-based project work happening across our five counties.
Shifts are open from 8:30 – 11:30 am, 11:30 – 2:30 pm, 2:30 – 4:00 pm + takedown or you can drop by for an hour or more when you are available.
Please contact Nancy Dunnahoe if you can volunteer your time that day.
