[UPDATED] Winedale Historic Complex workday – Gideon Lincecum Monument
>>Record to VMS (including your travel time) as: Winedale Project: TMN Report Hours<<
Hey Master Naturalists,
Construction is still ongoing at the Visitor’s Center, so we will not be working there this month; however, we will turn our attention to clearing around the Gideon Lincecum Monument and cleaning up the trails down to the pond. You may have heard that ancestors of Gideon Lincecum will be attending our March Chapter meeting, and will be visiting the monument, so we want it to be well-groomed.
I will be out of town for this month’s workday, but Sam Walton has graciously agreed to lead the volunteers in my absence. Please meet at the Monument site across the road from the Visitor’s Center around 9 a.m. We should be back to the Pollinator Garden in front of the Visitor’s Center by our March workday on the 13th (two Friday the 13th’s in a row – interesting).
As always, bring your favorite gardening tools, water, and a smile.
Thank you,
Carey Soderstrom
