Austin County Ag Youth and Safety Day

Washington County Ag-Safety Awareness Day

VMS opportunity: Educational Group Presentation Leader: Donna Mueller May 19, 2020 Tuesday  Time: 8:30-2:00 (Lunch will be provided.) Washington County Fairgrounds, Brenham, Texas The TMN-GLC team will be presenting the TMN Scavenger Hunt-Bingo for the 5th graders from all schools in Washington County. The 20-minute sessions with groups of 20 or so students will be repeated all day as classes rotate through all the stations set up at the fairgrounds. We are inside (usually the VIP building).   Volunteers needed.   

Fayette County Ag Awareness Day

VMS opportunity: Educational Group Presentations Program Leader:  Donna Mueller   If you enjoy working with kids, this is the program for you. Lots of Volunteer hours. Join the TMN-GLC to present “Bite Me or Leave Me Bee”, with our Wildlife Biologist Laura Sherrod and her Mammals & Reptiles.  Lots of fun… OHHS & AHHS!!! With 5th graders from Fayette County ISD and private school systems.   Date: May 7, 2020 Venue: The Fayette County Fairgrounds, La Grange, Texas.  Time: 8:30-2:15 p.m. A Great Lunch will be provided for volunteers.

Volunteer Opportunity: VMS Category: BISD Outdoor Learning Projects L.A.N.D.S. Water/Erosion Field Day for Brenham 8thgraders  Scheduled for April 14, 2020 in Burton from approximately 8 am to 3 pm. (Backup date is April 21) Please also contact Lori Buffum if you volunteer for this event since she is the project coordinator for all Brenham School District events. VMS opportunity: BISD Outdoor Learning Projects Brenham ISD Outdoors is looking for volunteers for our 2019/2020 programs! These programs are designed to engage kids in a series of short (15 minute), fun activities while helping students broaden their understanding of the outdoors, stewardship of the Earth, and life cycles in Nature.
