More than 70 TMN-GLC members enjoyed an afternoon of fellowship and celebration on Sunday, December 9th.
In the first 11 months of the year, chapter members donated over 5,900 hours of service in support of conservation. We supported youth education (AgAwareness Days, Brenham ISD programs, LANDS, Family Science Nights), beautified our parks and public spaces with native pollinator gardens, nature trails, and prairie plantings (Winedale, Washington-on-the-Brazos, Schubert House, Indian Creek, Monument Hill, Stephen F. Austin, Attwater Prairie Chicken NWR), and participated in a variety of citizen science projects (CoCoRas, Texas Stream Team, Mill Creek Watershed), and many others. The highlight of the afternoon was a white elephant exchange, with everyone coming home with a nature-themed gift.
