Pioneer Days 2014

February 17, 2014 by Sterlin Barton

We have been invited by the Williamson Museum to participate in Pioneer Days to be held at Old Settlers Park May 1 – 3.   In the past, the Master Gardeners have taught the kids about heritage vegetables using the three sisters concept of corn, squash and beans.  I would guess that NPSOT will probably be doing their thing with seed balls or seed papers.

Dawn Nixon with the Museum is in charge of the event; she is a former teacher and has lots of ideas.  What we need now is an individual who will work with the Museum and help coordinate our activity.  Wayne has suggested that we might want to do something with our historical naturalists, dressing in vintage clothing.

If you can assume responsibility for working out the details in conjunction with the Museum, please get in touch with me as soon as possible.
