Native Plant Spring Symposium Saturday, April 26, 2014

Registration is now open for the Spring Symposium at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center on April 26.

Download a registration flyer and form or register online. Cost is $55 ($50 for NPSOT & LBJWC members) or $65 after April 18. A light breakfast, box lunch and full access to the Wildflower Center gardens is included.

The symposium will feature Dr Douglas Tallamy as the keynote speaker. Dr Tallamy is the author of the best-selling book Bringing Nature Home; How Native Plants Sustain Wildlife in Our Gardens.

Other speakers include Dr Damon Waitt, Senior Botanist at the Wildflower Center; Dr Matt Turner, author of Remarkable Plants of Texas; and Mark Klym, coordinator of the Texas Wildscapes program and co-author of Hummingbirds of Texas. Jason Singhurst of the Texas Parks & Wildlife and co-author of Rare Plants of Texas will have a presentation on the new prairie preserve in College Park.
