From Nature’s Table to Yours: Fruiting Plants of Central Texas
Presenter: Stephen Brueggerhoff, NPSOT – Williamson County

Join Stephen Brueggerhoff, NPSOT-Williamson County, for a delectable talk on native fruiting plants of Central Texas. Stephen will cover a few facts about pollination biology, native plant distribution (hint: location, location, location) and present pics of fruiting plants that is sure to tickle your palate. Fun facts, a few recipes and samples you can eat await!

Stephen Brueggerhoff has a passion for service to gardening Texans. With over 15 years of experience, he has supported the environmental not-for-profit community as lecturer, instructor, administrative organizer and collaborative partner.

Stephen received a Bachelor of Science in Horticulture from Sam Houston State University and a Masters of Forest Resources from the University of Washington. Stephen is a member of several professional development and community service organizations including National Association for Interpretation, Native Plant Society of Texas (NPSOT) and Informal Science Education Association of Texas. Stephen serves as NPSOT’s state newsletter editor, Programs Coordinator for NPSOT – Williamson County, Compost Coordinator for Unity Park Community Garden in Round Rock, Texas and serves on the board of Neighborhood Harvest Project, a regional clearinghouse for community gardens in Central Texas. Stephen proudly worked as Public Programs Manager for eight years at the Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center.
We will serve light refreshments starting at 6:30, followed by a short business meeting. The presentation will begin at 7:00, generally for about an hour followed questions and answers.
