United Way Day of Service Berry Creek Nature Trail

January 14, 2015 by glennkleinert

The annual Day Of Service at The Berry Creek Nature Trail 1801 CR 152 Georgetown, Texas 78626 will be Monday January 19 from 8:30 until noon.  We will met at 8:30 at the trail head located off the IH 35 service road located just north of Exit # 265.  The access road to the trail entrance gate will have cones and a Special Event sign marking where you should turn.

We set aside this annual event to continue the development and beautification of our nature trail.  Work will include beautification of the native plant garden, removal of trash, spreading of trail materials of mulch, some gravel mixed with dirt and removal of invasive plants.  Bring with you hand weeding tools, loppers, sharp shooter or spade.  Please label your tools.  Some tools will be available.  Dress appropriately for the weather and bring water, snack, sunscreen and hat.  If you are highly allergic to insect bites, please do not sign up.  Also be aware of thorny plants and poison ivy.  THERE IS NO RAIN DATE FOR THIS EVENT.

To sign up contact Susan Blackledge at [email protected] of 512 930 0040.
