In recognition of National Invasive Awareness Week (February 22 – 28 ) there will be two work mornings held at Berry Springs Park ( 1801 CR 152, Georgetown, Texas ). We will meet on Wed. Feb. 25 and Thurs. Feb. 26 from 9 am until noon. Bring loppers, hand pruners, gloves and water bottle. Wear long pants. We will be removing ligustrum shrubs along the back trails that parallel Berry Creek. If we complete this task we will move on to a chinaberry tree removal. Park at the upper parking lot and walk down to the Maintenance Office. If you can participate in this work, contact Susan Blackledge at susieblackledge@gmail.com.
If you cannot make either of these two days, Berry Creek has an ongoing program for removal of the invasive plan, bastard cabbage. Contact Susan Blackledge to schedule this work.
