Anticipation is building…. The Monarch Butterflies have left their winter home in Mexico on their the annual migration
and they are coming to
BALCONES CANYONLANDS NATIONAL WILDLIFE REFUGE
To visit our fields of milkweed flowers to lay their eggs before continuing north.

Sunday, April 12th at Doeskin Ranch
2 pm – in the amphitheater learn about Monarchs and how to build a backyard butterfly garden
3 pm – Field guides will lead hikes to see Monarch and find their eggs
Open to the Public with so much to see and do.
Wear comfortable hiking shoes and bring your camera and binoculars. The Doeskin Ranch Unit of the Balcones Canyonlands National Wildlife Refuge is located on RR 1174. Directions from FM 1431 (connecting Marble Falls and Lago Vista), go north on RR 1174 for approximately 5 miles. Doeskin Ranch is on the east side of the road.
