Travis Audubon Has Volunteer Opportunities

Travis Audubon has posted the following volunteer opportunities:

Blair Woods Sanctuary Work Day, Saturdays, August 29 and October 10, 9:00am – 1200 pm. Located at 5401 Martin Luther King Blvd, Austin, Texas 78721; and Baker Sanctuary Work Day, Saturday September 26, 8:00am – 11:00 am.  Located at 12219 Lime Creek Rd., Leander, Texas 78641  This is an opportunity to help with habitat conservation (trail maintenance and plant restoration).  For more information and to register, visit travisaudubon.org/audubonevents/2015-08/ or contact Chris Murray at [email protected]

Hornsby Bend Monthly Bird Count;  This monthly count will be held Saturday, September 12 from 7:00 am until 10:30 and again from 4:00 pm until the survey is completed.  You can survey birds in the morning and/or join the diehards in the afternoon to search for birds missed earlier.  For more information visit travisaudubon.org/audubonevent/field-trip-hornsby-bend-monthly-bird-count-4 and contact Eric Carpenter  at [email protected]
