January 20, 2016 by

Join over 100 registrants for a fun-filled and educational experience. Register now for our 2016 Bluebird Season Kickoff and FUNdraising Auction, which takes place March 12th, 9:00 – 3:00, at Bastrop Convention Center, with a social dinner at Hampton Inn the night before. (The after dinner speaker, with raptors, is John Karcher of Last Chance Forever.) Hampton Inn offers a $129, plus tax, rate for reservations made by February 12th. Only a few rooms remain. Rooms are already scarce, due to SXSW in Austin.)

We are bringing to Texas, Dr. T. David Pitts, author of Studying Eastern Bluebirds: A Biologist’s Report and Reflections for three presentations: The Night Life of Eastern Bluebirds; Chickadee Nesting Ecology: Nest Early, Nest Once; and,
The Hummingbirds That Nest In Our Yards.

Young Alec Wyatt, who wow’d 2015 Symposium registrants, will return! Jane Tillman, president of Native Plant Society of Texas, Austin Chapter, makes her TBS debut. Back by popular request is Linda Crum (and, we have an alternate presentation for those who do not want to hear Linda’s presentation on House Sparrow Control.)

Registrations, received on or before February 12th, earn 10 door prize chances.
Advance Registration, with one door prize chance closes February 27th.
At-The-Door Registration opens at 8:30 a.m. on the day of the Symposium.

We will offer a FREE Nestbox to TBS members in attendance who pledge to “NestWatch” at least two nestboxes (submit observations to Cornell Lab of Ornithology through www.NestWatch.org)
