The Gault School of Archaeological Research has scheduled its annual Maintenance Day For May 7, from 8:30am to 1:00pm at the Gault site east of Florence, Texas. Once a year they ask for help with all the chores that are easier accomplished with lots of hands helping. They will be working on projects from 8:30 until noon when they will provide a “thank you” BBQ lunch. They always have a good time and your help is needed to help clean up and maintain the site. Wear work clothes and good shoes/boots, bring gloves and water bottles (refills available). They can use a few more pickup trucks for hauling “stuff” from the valley to the barn for storage. They also have some geological work that needs to be done. This project will qualify for MN Volunteer Service.
If you plan to attend, please RSVP at 512-245-8734 or click here to Contact Clark Wernecke They can also provide specific driving directions, if needed.
