Berry Springs Pond Clean Up

June 13, 2016 by glennkleinert

On June 15th, 8:30 am – noon, we will work together with the WILCO Juvenile Services to clean Berry Springs Pond! We will meet at the Tonkawa Pavilion at 8:30 am and divide into two groups. One group will work at the spring deck area and the second group will work on the east side of the pond using the water tiller and the boat. A weed razor rake has been purchased and that will be used to cut the weeds. As the weeds float to the surface, they will be raked to the side of the pond for removal. The cut vegetation will be gathered and moved to the compost pile to be used in flower beds and around trees.
If you can attend, bring work gloves, water bottle, shoes you do not mind getting wet, insect repellent and wear sunscreen.
For additional information contact Susan Blackledge at [email protected] or at 512-930-0040.
Berry Springs Park and Preserve is located at 1801 CR 152 Georgetown, Texas 78626
