This year’s 2016 Wildscapes Workshop to be held Saturday, September 10, 2016, is the 18th Wildscapes Workshop event organized annually by the Native Plant Society of Texas – Houston Chapter and co-sponsored by Texas Parks & Wildlife Department. From the start, the mission of Wildscapes Workshop has been to promote landscaping with native Texas plants that will attract and sustain our local wildlife.

In 2016, Wildscapes Workshop will feature local native plant experts, citizen scientists and a special panel program. The program will address: How to promote pollinators in our gardens; Threats from exotic invasive plants in our local ecosystems; The important role our regional native ecosystems offer to our growing urban community in the greater Houston area.

As is customary, the 2016 Wildscapes Workshop will also offer it’s not-to-be-missed plant sale featuring many hard to find local native plants.
