Peterson Community Garden Workday, Hutto, Texas

August 16, 2016 by glennkleinert

We have scheduled a workday at the new Peterson Community Garden Wildflower Patch in Hutto, Texas for Saturday August 27 from 8:00AM – Noon (11:00AM if it is really hot). This will be our first scheduled workday on this project and we will be doing cleanup, weeding and new bed preparation for a large future Wildflower Patch! This will be the first steps in establishing a wildflower garden and introducing native plants to attract pollinators into the area of the Peterson Community Garden which was created and funded by the Keep Hutto Beautiful Program. The garden is located at 501 East Street in Hutto. It is near a large grassy area with a big red barn. Parking is along Main Street next to the Garden. Come prepared to work and bring digging tools, gloves, sunscreen, bug spray and a hat. Water and light snacks will be provided. Much help is needed and TXMN Volunteer credit can be earned. This is a Saturday activity! Look forward to seeing you there!
