Bluebird Nest Watch Workday

January 27, 2017 by vickizardiackas

Christie Gardner, the project leader of the Eastern Bluebird Nestwatch at Berry Springs Park in Georgetown, needs your help. She needs people that have building skills to help with a couple of birdhouses that are a little dilapidated.  She also needs some muscle to help relocate one of the houses.

There will be 2 birdhouse workdays in February—Sunday, February 5 from 3-5 and Saturday, February 11 from 3-5.

If you are interested in helping with the Eastern Bluebird Nestwatch at Berry Springs this year, please come on out and learn where the boxes are and how you can become qualified (yes, there is a test you must pass!) to take care of these beauties.  These will also be the dates we will work on the boxes and install new baffles.  You can come once or both times.

The birds will be nesting soon so we have to get busy!!!
Christie’s email address is clgardner13@att.net and her phone number is  281-879-5345 if you have any questions. It is fun, great exercise, and a good way to learn all about the park.

Hours can be logged on VMS at” Texas Bluebird Society Nest Watch”.
