Mosquitoes and Zika – May 25

Good Water Monthly Meeting – Thursday, May 25, 2017, 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Topic:  “Mosquitoes and Zika”

Presented by:  Ms. Wizzie Brown   Wizzie Brown will cover mosquito identification and biology,  an overview of Zika (possibly some other diseases that can be  transmitted), and management (how you can protect yourself and family).  She received her Bachelor of Science in Entomology from Ohio State University and her Masters of Science in Entomology from Texas A&M University.  She is currently working as an Extension Program Specialist IPM with Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service in Austin.

Location: Williamson County, Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Office meeting room, 3151 SE Inner Loop, Georgetown, TX 78626 (map) (business hours phone 512- 943-3300).

Schedule:  6:00 pm Social Time with light refreshments;  6:30 pm a short chapter business meeting with announcements;
7:00 pm the speaker’s presentation; usually ends approximately 8:00 pm; sometimes followed by a short question & answer time.
