BRUSHY CREEK STREAM CLEAN-UP

July 2, 2017 by vickizardiackas

Mike Farley and Jessica Woods have set a date for some stream clean up in Cedar Park, Tx.  Anyone else who is willing is  welcome to join to do some stream and trail clean up Friday, July 21st, 2017 at Brushy Creek Sports Complex and Brushy Creek Lake Park.

Park in the Brushy Creek Sports Complex parking lot, (2310 Brushy Creek rd) on the eastern most section nearest the Parmer Lane bridge.  We will meet at 8:30 am, pair up in teams and collect garbage as long as comfort allows in hot temperatures.  Probably 2 to 3 hours.  Mike will bring some garbage bags and bottled water.  It is recommended, (but not necessary), that people purchase a gripper tool for less back ache.  Mike uses the “nifty nibbler”, (blue handle) that is in the link below and have been satisfied so far.  Please wear appropriate protective clothing such as pants, boots, hat, etc.  Bug spray and sunscreen as needed.

Volunteer hours should be billed to Nat Res Mgmt: Texas Waters Projects

Please come out and help make a difference!  Anyone willing to participate contact Mike Farley , spice9451@gmail.com.
