The Wildflower Center

ADULT PROGRAMS

The Wildflower Center offers abundant opportunities to learn about Texas native plants, gardening, nature art, photography, writing and more. We offer our very popular Native Plant Gardening Certificate through UT Informal Classes.

Classes generally happen during spring and fall, with other programs occurring throughout the year.

Ready to make your yard, garden or land a paradise for native wildlife? Learn how to use native plants to support robust ecosystems and provide habitat for birds, butterflies, bees and more. Discover how groundcover, water features and lighting affect livability. Space is limited and registration is required. Texas Arboretum Walk

Explore the wonders of native trees in the Texas Arboretum with a knowledgeable docent. Bring your binoculars and look for birds or simply enjoy the stroll on one of our most shaded* trails and learn about native plants and Texas history along the way. *There are still several sunny spots and we recommend water, sunscreen and a hat!
