When: Sunday April 14th, 2019
Where: Blunn Creek Nature Preserve – St. Edwards Drive
Time: 9:00 AM-12:00 PM estimated
What: Let’s get fungi with it! Come join us as we learn about mushroom inoculation as a tool to break down invasive species. We will use turkey tail mushroom mycelium to inoculate ligustrum logs that have been cut down from within the Austin Nature Preserve System. After the inoculation, we will install the logs along the creek to help with erosion control while they are being broken down by the mycelium. It will be a mix of education and labor!
Bring: Please bring water with you! We will supply all other necessary tools.
If you are interested, please email [email protected] to reserve your spot. We will cap the attendance at 15 due to amount of work required. We look forward to working with you!
