Blackland Prairie Chapter of the Native Prairies Association of Texas presents: Spiders on the Prairie — Tuesday, January 11, 2022 at 7 pm via Zoom: https://us06web.zoom.us/j/86215253084
Meghan Cassidy is a superb naturalist, photographer and arachnid enthusiast and we’re thrilled to have her present in the new year! For the Zoom presentation, Meghan will start with some basics about spiders (and arachnids) to provide a foundation (very basic taxonomy, basic ecology & natural history, common families, etc.). She’ll also feature common spiders that are found in Texas prairies (with a focus on Texas Blackland prairies), plants they may commonly be associated with, and some spider ID tips. There will be lots of detailed spider photos, and iNaturalist will be promoted as a learning resource as well.
