Removal of Invasives at Rush Haven

March 8 @ 8:00 am - 11:00 am

Saturday, March 8Rush Haven
Targeted species: Air Potato tubers
Time: 8:00-11:00 am – come when you can, leave when you must
Location: Rush Haven from Flintridge side
Park You can park in the parking lot at the George Mitchell Preserve at 5171 Flintridge Drive or by the water plant as described below. If you park at the Preserve, walk across Flintridge and go left down the pathway to the water plant.  Then, follow the signs and yellow tape down the fence line to the site.  We will be going in behind the water plant just a short walk from the parking lot.  There is a shoulder on the street so you may be able to park on Flintridge near the water plant.

Dress for the elements with sturdy waterproof shoes or boots, garden gloves and hat; also bring bug repellent and water. Wear your Invasives t-shirt—or if this is your first time volunteering with ITF, claim your shirt!

Other helpful tools: eye protection, hand pruners, digging trowels, and a bucket or other device to collect potatoes. Make sure your tools are labeled.
Waivers must be renewed annually– if you have not already done so, please go to this link to complete a waiver for 2025.
