Bat-Watching Sites of Texas

The NEW Bat-Watching Sites of Texas website is now live at https://tpwd.texas.gov/huntwild/wild/species/bats/bat-watching-sites/ 

The website was created in collaboration with Bat Conservation International and offers the following features.

  • Covers general bat biology
  • Provides a list of the bat species that occur in Texas
  • Discusses white-nose syndrome (WNS)
  • Provides bat–watching etiquette
  • Highlights twelve bat-watching sites in Texas including four TPWD properties.

Discover some of the most amazing congregations of mammals in the world and share this new website with colleagues, friends, and family! Plan a time to visit these sites too.
