I am a Texas Master Naturalist with the Coastal Prairie Chapter. I am inviting Heartwood members to help us identify as many bat colonies in the area as possible before we have another below 26 degree cold snap.
As some of you may know, our Director and fellow Master Naturalist Mary Warwick was instrumental in rescuing and rehabilitating over 1600 bats last winter. Being the only bat rehabilitation facility in the Houston area, we want to ensure these locations are pre-identified so we are well prepared for any upcoming events.
I’m including the Zoom invitation for December 5th at 7PM so you can share it with your members. Register in advance. After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting.
